It should be noted that "Azərsığorta" State Insurance Commercial Company, which started operating as a local State Insurance Department in the Azerbaijan SSR on October 21, 1921, became the first insurance institution of the South Caucasus in 1991 on the basis of the State Insurance Board operating under the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan. It was established as the State Insurance Commercial Company of the Republic of Azerbaijan. Since May 2022, the Company, which has been successfully operating under the "Azərsığorta" brand, has a wide branch network in the republic, providing services for 36 types of voluntary and compulsory insurance products.
